On the 10th and 11th of December 2019 D4FLY representatives from VERIDOS, VTT, BPTI, Y.D.E.A.P, PPA and TRILATERAL visited border crossing point areas at the Lithuania-Belarus land border.
The study visit was hosted by the State Border Guard Service (SBGS) and included observation and interviews with border authorities at four different locations:
- Raigardas border crossing point
- Latežeris border crossing point
- Šalcininkai border crossing point
- Tribonys Frontier Station
Current infrastructure and processes in Land border control management have been discussed aiming to identify challenges and implications being faced by the border guards in a daily routine. The scope of the discussions and site observation was to better define the corresponding D4FLY use case scenario so as to serve the needs of the targeted end-users.
