Raytrix was founded in 2009 and sells 3D light field cameras for industrial applications and research since 2010. We started with the goal to explore the potential of light field technology and make it feasible for a wide range of applications. By now we are an interdisciplinary team of 13 highly motivated employees. Light field cameras capture a standard 2D image together with the 3D information of a scene from a single camera through a single lens in a single shot and require no special illumination. Those properties enable light field cameras to capture high speed 2D and 3D video of moving persons. A patented micro lens array design allows for an optimal compromise between high effective resolution and an extended depth of field.
