The Home Office is the lead government department for policies on immigration, passports, counter-terrorism, policing, drugs and crime in the UK. Border Force is the law enforcement command within the Home Office. Border Force secure the UK border by carrying out immigration and customs controls for people and goods entering the UK. The Home Office and Border Force will support the D4FLY project with the extensive knowledge and experience gained through this work, e.g., regarding user requirements and security scenarios. Moreover, Border Force will identify and help organize two demonstrations at border crossing sites in the UK. The Home Office can also provide interfaces to policy makers and to the industrial and scientific communities. For example, the Home Office actively assesses new biometric products and provide data material of security scenarios to industry and academia to facilitate development of credible solutions that work in the real world.
