On the 18th and 19th of June 2020, D4FLY participated at a joint webinar of seven EU-funded H2020 Actions working on border security and crime-fighting technologies.

H2020 – Societal Challenge 7 “Secure Societies”

Armin Reuter from Veridos has represented D4FLY project at the H2020 first Secure Societies “project to policy kick off seminar” held in Brussels, Belgium on the 31^st of January.

Border Security 2020 – Rome, IT

Prof. James Ferryman from our partner University of Reading organized a workshop on Monday 10th February in Rome, supported by D4FLY, on: “Countering Emerging Threats in Document and Identity Verification in Border Security”.

Pilot site visit UK

D4FLY visited the Eurotunnel border crossing point between France and the UK in Coquelles, France, on the 4th of February 2020. The D4FLY representatives team included participants from VERIDOS, VTT, UoR and UKHomeOffice.

Pilot site visit Ter Apel – Netherlands

On the 24th of January 2020 people from VERIDOS, VTT, Y.D.E.A.P and BPTI visited the Reception Centre for Asylum Seekers in Ter Apel. The Royal Marechaussee (RNM) hosted the study visit.

D4FLY Amsterdam workshop

On 21st & 22nd of January this year, the D4FLY consortium organised two workshop sessions in Amsterdam discussing the user requirements and the ethical, social and legal impact of the project’s solutions for identity and document verification.
